Compliance at Every Step
Marketwise builds appraisal independence, information safeguards, qualification checks, and documented quality controls into its engagement workflow. The specific requirements applied to an order depend on the assignment, client instructions, property type, and applicable program guidelines.
Built around three pillars
Appraiser Independence
Marketwise maintains separation between loan production and appraisal management. Our processes are designed to protect appraiser independence throughout selection, assignment, communication, and delivery.
Data Security & Privacy
We use administrative and technical safeguards intended to protect borrower and transaction information. Access is limited to staff, appraisers, and service providers who need the information to support the assignment.
Quality Control
Our quality-control workflow can include checks for applicable USPAP requirements, UAD formatting, investor guidelines, and internal consistency before report delivery.
Industry Standards We Follow
Our processes are designed to align with the requirements and guidelines set by these governing bodies and regulatory frameworks.
Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac
Workflows are designed around applicable GSE appraisal guidelines, UAD requirements, and conventional lending delivery standards.
Dodd-Frank Act
Our appraiser independence protocols are built around Title XIV of Dodd-Frank, maintaining a complete separation between loan production staff and appraisal ordering, selection, and review.
GLBA
Information safeguards and access controls are designed to support the protection of non-public personal information throughout the order lifecycle.
HUD / FHA
FHA appraisal products integrate directly with HUD's Electronic Appraisal Delivery (EAD) portal, ensuring compliant submission and documentation for government-backed loan programs.
UCDP & EAD Submission
For applicable residential assignments, Marketwise handles submission to the Uniform Collateral Data Portal (UCDP) or FHA’s Electronic Appraisal Delivery (EAD) portal once the lender has invited us to submit on its behalf.
When we handle submission, we include the portal’s submission reports with the appraisal delivery package.

The compliance workflow behind every order
Every Marketwise engagement follows a structured compliance process — not as an afterthought, but as the foundation every order is built on.
Independence Screening
Before assignment, we verify that no loan production staff or interested party has had contact with appraiser selection for the subject order.
Panel Qualification
The assigned appraiser is verified for active licensure, E&O coverage, geographic competency, and property-type experience prior to every engagement.
UAD & USPAP Review
Upon receipt, every report is reviewed for completeness and consistency against applicable UAD, USPAP, investor, and client requirements before delivery.
UCDP & EAD Submission
For applicable residential assignments, once invited by the lender, we submit to UCDP or FHA EAD on its behalf and include the submission reports with the appraisal delivery package.
Documented Audit Trail
The order workflow maintains records of assignment, communication, review, and delivery that can support client compliance and audit needs.
